Andres Uribe is a PhD student in Comparative Politics. He is interested in civil conflict, competitive state-building, and governance during war. Current projects examine the impact of governance by states and non-state actors on political grievances and conflict dynamics.
Before coming to Chicago, Andres managed an international capacity-building program at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C. He holds a BA in History from Harvard College and an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago.
