Academic Programs
The Department of Race, Diaspora, and Indigeneity offers rigorous coursework that encourages students to critically examine how those three concepts have fundamentally shaped the modern world and continue to reverberate in contemporary thought, action, culture, and policy. With a particular focus on their intersections and interactions, RDI encourages students to study the constitution and transformations of race, diaspora, and indigeneity through boundary crossing scholarship that provides a variety of opportunities for students to deepen their knowledge, sharpen their analytic tools, expand their means of expression, and participate in collaborative knowledge production on race, diaspora, and indigeneity both within the University and beyond.
