Sabreena’s research interests include the political economy of international security, power projection, alliances and security networks, and the politics of the global oil market. She recently contributed to an academic symposium exploring the global monetary order and is currently working on research with the Chicago Project On Security and Threats.

She received dual BAs in history and political science from Eastern Connecticut State University and completed an MA in the social sciences at Chicago before entering the PhD program.
