I am a 1st year Ph.D. student in Political Science at the University of Chicago. My primary interests are in bureaucratic governance, discretion, and delegation, especially in the United States. My approach is generally empirical and quantitative, but I am proud to draw from multiple strains of social science in my work. I also work as a departmental steward, ensuring my peers find success in their academic roles.
I have a special interest in the US Federal Reserve, having worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago for two years before beginning my Ph.D. There, my role was primarily in monetary policy communication and coauthored work on economic forecasting, immigration, and racial disparity. Before that, I completed my undergraduate education at the University of North Carolina, where I received a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. Economics.
